Abstract:
Having extra forage yield from alfalfa intercropped in wheat and maize fields.making use of extra nitrogen fixed by allalfa and saving some of fertiliser nitrogen in wheat and maize fields. improving soil fertility through raising akgumionous crop in the fields of non legume ones.practicing minimum tillage while raising maize after wheat.Restrictions against raising alfalfa in the valley and the problems of cutting alfalfa, particularly in wheat fields, are not overlooked by the present study. however, this in vestigation is just a step forward to have answers about the possibility of intercropping alfalfa in wheat and maize fields. further, steps are being taken to apply this concept in new lands, particulary in sandy soils, where growing alfalfa is not restricted, but however, is encouraged..
