Evaluation of Some Green Forages With Special Reference To Their Nutritive Values

In Egypt, feedstuffs for livestok are insufficient, for adequate livestock feeding where about 13.00 million tons total digestible nutrients (TDN) per years required, yet only 9.6 millions tons are annually produced oroviding 75% of livestock energy requirements and unequal distribution of green forages arround the year, specially in summer, High production of cassava products, pioneer-988 and guar well help as one of the solution in solving the problem of livestock feeding shortage. The objectives of this study were : Frist-Cultivation of cassava in sandy soil, also nutritional evaluation and utilization of cassava products. (roots, Leaves and foliage) by sheep and rabbit. The second objectives was cultivation , evaluation and utilization of two green summer forages pioneer-988 and guar by sheep and rabbit.
