This investigation aimed to add more information about the hypothetical origin of compact and non-compact micronuclei in the light of the correlation between their frequencies and the frequencies of other mitotic abnormalities . Based upon the previously mentioned series of works as well as the present investigation , this test assay can be considered a well established one for both cytogenetic and environmental mutagenesis studies .
