the total production is not enough for this puropose. to over-come such problem, increasing maize productioin per unit area could be possible rather than increasing the area devoted for maize production through the extensive qrowing of high yielding genotypes along with the most faourable agronomic package.Maize also response to a great extent for high rate of nitrogen fertilizer. not only the nitrogen rates. but also the time of nitrogen application are among the important agricultural practices used to increase maize productivity.The present investigation has conducted to study the effect of different nitrogen rates and various time of application after wheat and berseem as preceding crops on growth, yield and quality of to maize varieties.
