Abstract:
Seeds of soybean have a lot of uses abrods. many preparations are made from soybean seed for human consumption. locally there is a very limited use of soybean seeds in human food. the main use of soybean in egypt is for oil extraction and incorporation of seed cake as an ingredient in animal feeds as a main source of high quality protein. so that seed quality especially its contents of oil and protein has be fully investigated for different groups of cultivars. This study, therefore, was undertaken to follow up the behaviour of six soybean cultivars belonging to varying groups that differ in their duration to mature under different levels of nitrogen fertilizer. in addition, the seeds produced from these cultivars are studied qualitatively.
