Studies On Micro-Organisms Decomposing Urea In Soil

The aim of this investigation was focused on the following topics: Isolation and selection of the most active isolate of fungi and actinomycetes in urea hydrolysis. Factors affecting hydrolysis of urea (inoculum size, temperature, pH and salt concentration) by selected fungal actinomycetes isolates. The effect of urea application in various levels to three different Egyptian Soils on the micobial densities, urease actvity and mineralization of urea under laboratory conditions.
