Studies On Certain Species Of Scale Insects Infesting Of Citrus And Guava Trees In Sharkia Region

The present study was carried out to estimate the degree of infestation with some species of scale insects attacking certain hosts of citrus trees in addition to guava trees in sharkia region during the two successive years,1987 and 1988 population density and seasonal aboundance of different stages of these insects were recorded ,the activity periodsof these pests on the priviously mentioned hosts were considered .the associated parasites as well as its role as biological agents in reducing the infestation of these insects were recorded.
