Abstract:
This work was carried out during the two consecutive summer seasons of 2003 and 2004, at El-Khattara Experimental Farm, Fac. Agric. Zagazig University, to study the effect of organic manure (FYM) and the combination between fertilizers of mineral N,P and biofertilizers as well as nitrogen biofertilizer type and their application methods on growth, yield and fruit quality of tomato plants under sandy soil conditions using drip irrigation system. The work was divided in two experiments:5.1 First experiment: Effect of organic manure (FYM) rate and the combination between fertilizers of mineral and biofertilizers on growth, yield and fruit quality of tomato under sandy soil conditions. The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of the performance of tomato Castle Rock cv. in relation to FYM levels (20 and 40 m3/fed.) and seven combinations between N (30, 60, 90,120 kg N /fed.), P (12, 20, 28, 80 kg P2O5/fed.) and biofertilizer treatments (nitrobein Nr and phosphorein Pr as mixed fertilizers) at a rate of 400 and 600 gm/fed. of each on growth and yield of tomato plants (Castle Rock cv.)
