Development of animal and poultry farms service systems

This study was conducted through two successive years 2004 and 2005 including fifteen poultry farms at two villages, Shobra El-Enab and Kafr Abo El-Zagazig, Sharkia Governorate.The main objectives of the present study are to developing small multi purpose self-propelled equipment (MPSPE) to suit poultry manure collection and other services in poultry and animal farms and optimizing its performance parameters.The developed equipment performance investigated under some operating conditions such as: Scraper type: border and straight, hitching method, operating speeds about (1.5, 2.3, 3.2 and 4.0 km/h) for border and straight scraper and scraping width: (0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 m) for border scraper and 1.1 m for straight scraper.The study included the following measurements and calculations:Operational time and productivity, operational efficiency (collecting and cleaning efficiency), equipment slippage, fuel, power and energy requirements and operational costs
