Studies on Essential Oils \

The present study was conducted to investigate the following aspects: 1- the chemical composition of marjoram (Majorana hortensis), Spearmit (mentha viridis),Peppermit (Mentha piperita) and basil ( Ocimum basilicum) plant materials ( leaves and flowering tops) 2- The physicochemical characteristics and composition by gas liquid chromatography of the sssential oils of the aformentioned plants.3- from the application point of view it has been thought beneficial to study the antioxidant effect of such essential oils and solvent extracts on soybean oil and sunflower oil. 4- the effect of adding the aromatic plants powder and solvent extracts on the flavor and the shelf life of bakery products.
