Application of The Untraditional Plant By - Products In Feeding Ruminants

In Egypt, enimal feedstuffs representes a secondary problem. Attention was directed towards the appllcation of all resources of plant and animls by-products avaleble clerely or after special treatments ln anlmls feedlng. One of the main plant by-producte is the dried roughage such as corn stalk, rice straw, wheat straw. Great lot of researchs were conducted on the effect of chopplng, grinding and chemical treatments on the nutrittive value of such roughages. To-dey , also, etreen of interest wes directed. toward,s the recycling of animals and poultry westes. Determination of nutritive value of the suggested formulation of complete ration either in vitro or 1n vivo were carried out. Application of these complete ratlion in long term feeding was also taken into consideration.
