Genetic And Selection Studies In (VICIA FABA L.)

In this investigation a hybrid populations of broad bean were created from different crosses of seven parents with the goal of selecting high yielding progeny possessing , as many as possible , genes for low pod and total shedding , low infestation with the leaf miner Liriomyza Congesta was also considered . Slection pressure was placed on yield with special emphasis on low flower and total shedding and on Liriomyza conqesta tolerant individuals.
