Abstract:
Prostaglandins are defined as the lipid soluble smooth muscle stimulating and blood pessure lowering factors with acidec properties in seminal fluid and in extracts of some tissues of man and animals. This investigation was planned to Study the effect of various levels of pgf in the extender on some physical attributes and on the leakage of some enzymes and total protein as a measurement for membrane stability and as well as on fructose consumption of ram spermatozoa. Man and animals. Closed relationship was found between prostaglandins and fertility. Found that a low concentration of prostaglandins in semen from men with childless marriages accounted for 40% of the infertility. Recently, supplementation of diluted semen with prostaglandins has received attention as a potential promoter of fertility through improving sperm transport in female genitalia.
