Effect Of Level And Time Of Nitrogen Fertilization On Growth And Yield Of Sugar Beet

The important of sugar beet to agriculture is not only confined to the sugar production, but also to its by - products which are considered as an important sourse of feed for livestock and industrial uses . Till last decade, in Egypt, sugar - cane was considered the main source for sugar production . Then, the production became short to meet the increasing consumption of the Egyptian population . Gnerally, the increase in yield production per plant and per unit area of any crop can be achieved by many different ways . It was found that yield of the sugar beet is highly related not only to nitrogen fertilization, but also to time of nitrogen application . The Present Study Aimed To Find Out The Effect of level and time of nitrogen fertilization on growth and yield of sugar beet as well as their interaction effect on growth, growth analysis, yield and quality.
