Effect of some agricultural treatments on the growth and active ingredients of borago officinalis, l. Plants

The present investigation was conducted at the Experimental Farm of El-Quassasin Research Station and the Laboratory of Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University during the two seasons of 2000 – 2001 and 2001 – 2002.This study was planned to discuss the effect of the interaction between different rates of some organic manures (cattle and chicken manures) and some micronutrients (Zn and Mn) on growth, seed yield and some chemical constituents of Borago officinalis, L. plants.The organic manures levels were (control, cattle manure at 10 and 20 m3/fed. and chicken manure at 5 and 10 m3/fed.), while micronutrients values were (control, Zn at 100 ppm. and Mn at 100 ppm.).
