STudies On The Interaction Between Root-Nodule Bacteria And Other Soil Micro-Organisms

The present work was conducted to study such associative or antagonistic relationships between Rhizobium and other soil micro-organisms and their influences on rhizobial growth rate and nitrogen fixation. The nitrogen fixing ability of Legume-Rhizobium symbiosis has been measured in different ways including determination of the nodule numbers and its dry weight, Lenghaemoglobin content of root nodules, nitrogenase activity, amino acids content and total nitrogen content of soybean and cowpea plants .
