Abstract:
the principal objectives of this work were : 1- to assess and compare the performance of the two commercially grown can varieties : NCO.310 and %4/C-9. 2- Adaptation of new milling quality tests to our local conditions and caluclating the available sugar ton of can . 3- To evaluate and compare the performance of both mill train and combined mill-diffusion systems in terms of extranction and boiling house recovery . 4- To determine the optimum imbibtion rate of the prevailing can varieties. 5- To measure the changes in can quality during processing.
