Abstract:
Our work here is an at tempt to determine whether amaranth, poncean 4R, or amyl acetate have an inhibiting offect on the enzymatic activity of glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase (Got), glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (GPT), alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase, and cholinesterase in serum or not. Also, our studies are concerned with the effect of amaranth, ponceau 4R, andamyl acetate on total serum protein content, total free amino acids content and the serum protein pattern which is a sensitive indicator particularly for disturbances in the function of the liver.
