Physiological Studies on Vegetative and generative Cycles of Growth in Mango trees Cv. Zebda

The Present work is to minimize the severity of the alternate bearing in ”Zebda” mango trees. The work covered gibberellic acid treatments at differnt concaentrations to be applied at the early spring mainly toenhance production of new shoots in the ”On” years that may blossom in the subsequent ”Off” years. In addition, pinching treatment was adopted, alone or with girdling, at different dates in the ”On years as to examine its effect on: lateral branching, number of panicles, and fruiting cepocity per penicle in the ”On” and ”Off years.
