Abstract:
In most countries, ammonium is widely used as nitrogen fertilizer either in the form of ammonia gas, solution or salts. Therefore, the current study is accomplished to throw light on the adsorption phenomenon of ammonium and the factors involved such phenomenon such as NH4 concentration, PH, reaction time, and exchangeable cations. Special Mphasis was also given to desorption phenomenon and the effectiveness of variable reagents in the recovery of pre-adsorbed ammonium. As the Egyption soils are impovrished in organic matter and, in most cases, attain lower amunts of amorphous inorganic materials, Therefor, the current study is accomplished to Throw light on the adsocrption phenomenon of ammonium and the factors invcloved in such phenomenon such as NH4 concenttation, PH, reaction time, and exchanangeable cations. Special emphasis was also given to desorption phenomenon and the effectiveness of variable reagents in the recovery of pre-adsorbed ammonium.
