Effect of Saline Water on Seed Germination and Developing of mango Seedlings

The present work was desigend to investigate the behaviour of mango seedling under different saline condition. The study involved some morphological features which are releted to the plant response to salinity as an exppression for vegetative growth. In addition, determinations of the sugars,nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium and chlorine content were carried out to detect salinity effect. Sections of the roots, stems and leaves of the considered seedlings were also investigated to throw more light on the structural features of different tissues as influenced bysaline levels.
