Abstract:
Rice is one of the most important cereal crops in the world. In Egypt it plays an important role in the Egyptian economy, It occupy the second place in the Egyptian field crops for export. The everage anual cultivated area of rice in Egypt is about on million Faddans. Agreat deal of investigations are attempted to raise rice yields by all means such as production of new cultivars and by pointing out the most favourable agricultual practices. Nitrogen fertilization is one of the most important agricultural practices for raising rice yields. Rice plants and other cereal plants such as wheat, barley, rye and oats are prone to lodging under high levels of nitrogen. Production of the dwarf Cultivars Such as in Wheat acted to Increase the Response Of Cereal Plants to Higher levels of nitrogen without being lodged.
