Evaluation and Studies of some Seedling date palms grown at Ismailia Province

Any succassful programme for the improvement of the date industry has to begin with a study and evaluation of the date industryhas to begin with astudy and evaluation of the cultivars already grown. The present work was the cultivars already grown. The present work was undertaken to select the seedling palms grown under the agro-climatic conditions of Ismailia Governorate, which are excellent for growth, yield and qullity of dates. Detailed studies of toth physical and chemical characters of the selected plams were mads to insure the selection of the true and desirahle types
