A Study On The Energy Requirements For The Cutting Operation Of Different Kinds Of Plants

The determination of energy required to cut different kinds of crops i.e., alfalfa, wheat, rice and cotton stalks at different degrees of moisture contents and different knife velocities. the comparison between the use of the manual method (sickle and ssmall hoe) and the mechanical method( reciprocating, rotary mowers and combine) with respect to the cutting energy. The evaluation of each method from the economical point of view.
