Abstract:
Intensive use of pesticides in recent years in Egypt caused many losses in different domestic animals and poultry as a result of using feeds containing pesticide residues. Most of the studies which were carried out to investigate the toxicity of these pesticides, focused on the nervous system as a main target, whereas on the other body systems and feed intake utilization were scanty The Present work aimes to detect the effect of one of these in secticides (hosta thion) on the digestibility of nutrients and performance of chickens, since they are sensitive to the action of these in secticides. they ere eensttive to the action of these inseetioides and can show the same clinical symptoms produced. inman by delayed. neurotoxic agents (Johnson 1969). Blood serum cholinesterase activity, .weight of internal organs, peroentages of some components of liver and, histopatholcal changes of liver, kidneys, lungs and heart were also studied.
