however, studies on amylase production by actinomyestes are still limited. A more extensive examination of the amylolytic enzymes elaborated by this group of organisms might prove rewarding. it was therefore decided to study amylolytic activity of actinomycetes isolated from Egyptian substrate, factors affecting the production of saccharifying amylases in fluid media (shake cultures), as well as some properties of the enzyme produced.
