Hence, survey of the quantitative occurrence of rhizobia in some types of Egyptian soils was tried. nitrogen-gain in soil as a result of cultivation of legumes, inoculated or uninoculated with rhizobia, was also determined to evaluate the process, This work treated the nodule bacteria in the Egyptian soil from various anagles as just mentioned, to give a satisafactory picture of the function of these bacteria.
