Abstract:
Fertilization of soil in Egypt has always bean concerned mainly with the addition of nitrogenous, phosphatic and to a much less extent potassic fertilizers, The use of micronutrients has not yet become a common practice. Most of the soils of Egypt are of alluvial origin transported by the Nile river, thus, ensuring a continous supply of micro-nutrients, However, aftar the construction of Aswan High Dam. a considerable amount of this suspended matter was retained behind the Dam and this the supply of micro-nutrients to these soils has bean seriously affected, It was to these soils has been seriously affected, It was therefore, found of vital interest to study the role of some micronutrients on the growth, yield and some chemical constituents of wheat which is considered as one of our major cereal crops . the main objectives of the present work were studying the effect of eficency as well as the effect of different levels of zn and cu on the protein and carbohydrates metabolism of wheat plants.
