Studies On Storage Diseases Of Garlic In The A.R.E

The present work was initiated , with the objectives of studying the fungi causing garlic rots in the A.R.E. Biochemical changes associated with disease development and susceptibility of some garlic varieties were studied . The effect of harvesting at different degrees of maturity on host susceptibility were also studied. Effect of storage mature, immature and over mature balady and chinese garlic bulbs inoculated with four fungi and stored for five periods at 25ºc and 10ºc compared with naturally infected, were also ivestigated .
