Studies on Some Soft Date cultivars

The present investigation involved three Iragi date palm cultivars, namely: ”Barhee”,”Hallawy ” and ”Sayer”, in addition to the local Egyptian cultivar ”Samsny” . The four cultivars could be classified as soft dates with Yellowish full colour. The man object of the present work was to evaluate the vegetative and fruiting behaviour of such important Iragi cultivars under local conditions of the Barrage region. ”Samany” was used as a standaed local cultivar.
