Abstract:
The present study was one of points of the mentioned project. It aimed to investigate the performance of the early weaned purebred and crossbred lambs during growth and fattening periods. Early weaned lambs are known to have a period, just after weaninq, during which their growth is negatively influenced. This check in growth could be overcome by feeding the weaned lambs on high levels of feeding together with using good quality protein. Good quality protein that is less degradable in the rumen and consequently of highh biological value . The present study included a comparative study involving two starters different in their skim content (10 va. 20%). these startesr were fed to the sarly weaned lambs during the growth period (8-16 weeks of age).fatting performance and caracass quality of these lambs were also studied.
