Abstract:
In the prevailing era, carrying On food production to our population is considered to be the main problem in Egypt. This was resulted from the fact that. the magnitude increase of the population does not match with the concomitant limited cropped area. To get over this problem, a nullisecundus approach in vertical and horizontal expansion of agricultural lands is necessary. There Withal, the soils of arid and semi exidregions are considered poor in their organic matter content •• However, emphasiS has been placed on the use of organic manure to reclaime the sandy, calcareous and alkali soils, since, their chemical, physical and biological properties of the soil are much modified by applying manures. In addition to that their immediate effects on crops from the supplying plant nutrients. Therefore, the aim of this work is to investigate the possibility of using various organic manures for improving the chemical and physical properties, of SOil, and consequently, the effects on the yield of dry matter and chemical composition of maize plants.
