Abstract:
In fact, both ” green revolution” and ”food sufficiency ” are considered pressing problems in Egypt. They should be tackled as quickly as possible The sandy soils suffor from their very low content of organic matter with loose structure. Therefore plans for utilizing sandy soils depend mainly on improving their water retention and building up their structure. It worth to mention that the reclamation of sandy soils in Egypt was dependent on the annual additions of Nile suspensed matter besides organic materials The aims of this work is to investigate the possibility of using bitumenous emulsion which is aby-product of petro leum, and organic manures touild up the struc-ture of virgin sandysoils,and to improve their water propertirs.
