Abstract:
Raising farm animals on high levels of nutrition, generally, leads to obvious improvement in reproductive capabilities. The well fed heifers show rearlier onset of puberty, age at first calving and produce more calves during their lifetime than in those underfed heifers.Similarly, the well fed bull-calves reach pubert year lier and could be used at an earlier age than poorly fed ones. In addition, the bulls fed on high level of nutrition are capable of producing semen of high quality. This helps in testing the bulls for breeding early and coll the rest wich will be fattened. The crossbred animals exceeded the purebred ones in productive and reproductive performance. The aim of this work is to Study the effect of feeding level on reprod active perfrmance in shorthorn crosses and native cattle under Egyptian condition.
