Abstract:
Abortion causes a significant proportion of prenatal mortality in cattle and buffaloes it is important economically because of the loss of calf , reduction in the milk yield. and impaiment of the reproductive efficiency of the dam. The present work was conducted to study the genetical and environmental factors which affect abortion of friesians, friesian - crossbreds and buffaloes raised under the egyptian environment. The influences of abortion on some traits such as milk production and service period. were also studied. this might belp in finding out the best ways and. means for reducing the abortion to ninimum.
