Abstract:
This work have been designed to : Isolate and detect some viruses that attack soybean in Egypt. Identify detected viruses acording to : Symptomatology, Host range, Physical properties: Thermal inactivation point (TIP), Dilution end point (DEP) , Longevity in vitro (LIV) . Mode of transmission:a) mechanical transmission,b) insect transmission. seed transmission. Serological test a)slide agglutination test. III-To study the reaction of 40 available soybean cultivars to infection with identified viruses as far as susceptibility and vegetative characteristics. Determine the effect of soybran mosaic virus (SMV) on seed and seed quality from the following point of view: vgetative characteristics: a0plant hight b) number of branches per plant c) number of pods per plant d) dry weight of plants 2) seed characteristics: a) seed yield b) seed viability virus seed transmission 3) chemical composition of seeds include: a)total carbohydrates percentage b) crude protein percentage c) total oil prcentage d) the iodine value e) total free amino acids.).
