Abstract:
This work had been carried out to isolate and identify the fungi involved with fruits collected from local markets. The pathogenic capabilitis of isolated fungi were investigated on different species and varieties. The effect of some fungicides, citrus essential oil and citrus essential oil components were also used to study their effect on the linear growth and percentage of spore germination of the pathogenic fungi were studied. The effective citrus essential oil components were used to study their effect on controlling citrus fruit rots. The effective citrus essential oil components on controlling citrus fruit rots under laboratory condition were used to study their effect on citrus fruit rots under packing houses conditions. The pectolytic and celluletic enzymes activity of the pathogenic fungi was also estimated.
