Abstract:
It is not known if any these effects occur in natural habitats. interaction in the soil may be similar to those seen in laboratory experiments, but it is also possible that phage activity is limited in this complex and heterogeneous environment. Rhizobiophages are of particular interest because of the interactions possible in the phage bacteria host: lrguminous plant complex. since, in addition to any information their study may add to the general field of bacteriophage research, they are likely to have a significant rol in the ecology of their economically important host. The aim of this work is to study: The occurrence of rhizobiophages in soil . Some growth parameters of three phages used in this study . The sensitivity to various physical agents and the effect of rhizobiophages on nodulation and nitrogen fixation of broad bean plants.
