Studies On the Reproductive Development In Date Palms

The most prossing need seems to be application and modifcation of available techniques developed in various countries to the specific needs of the several date growing districts of Egypt . The production of date palm deponds, to more extent, on pollination efficiency . Moreover, pollination affects physical and chemical characteristics of date palm fruits Jhonson, 1953 ; Luna Ercilla, 1953 ; Nixon, 1955 ; Brown, 1966 and Hussein, 1982 . This study aimed mainly to obtain more information about the reprodictive developmental behaviour, organic and inorganic constituents as well as histological aspects of pollinated and unpollinated fruits of samany date palms grown under the condition of Sharkia Governorate.
