A study On The Losses Of Salts And Some Nutrients Under Tile Drainage System In Ismailia Governorate

The aim of this study to Overcome the problem of the area of Sarabiom , 20 km south of Ismailia , near the Suez canal. This area is borded by Sarabiom main drain in the west and by recently reclaimed lands beside the Suez canal in the east. the elevation is about 5-6 m higher than the studied area.Therfore ,subsurface drainage system was carried out to overcome the waterlogging and salinity problem instead of adding a huge amount of sand every year. In this study, two types of envelope materials were used around drain pipes .Physical and chemical properties of soil beside soluble salts and cations and anions of leached water were determined within two seasons in this area.
