The present study aimed to develop a proposed educational program based on an electronic instructional design using the Rovini Model, accompanied by various educational media, and to investigate its effect on cognitive achievement and the learning of some basic basketball skills among female students in the second cycle of basic education. The researcher employed the experimental method due to its suitability for the nature of the study, using a pre-test/post-test design with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research population consisted of second-grade preparatory school girls (the second cycle of basic education) during the academic year 2024/2025, totaling 88 students. The research sample was selected purposively from second-grade students at Martyr Abdel Moneim El-Sadek Preparatory School in Kafr Saqr, comprising 80 students. Twenty students were selected for the pilot study, resulting in a final sample of 60 students for the main study. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test measurements of the experimental group in cognitive achievement and the performance level of the basketball skills under investigation, in favor of the post-test measurements, with an improvement rate reaching 92.7%. Statistically significant differences were also found between the pre-test and post-test measurements of the control group in cognitive achievement and the performance level of the basketball skills under investigation, in favor of the post-test measurements, with an improvement rate reaching 74.45%. The study recommended implementing the educational program based on the Rovini instructional design model due to its effectiveness in improving the performance level of the basketball skills under investigation. It also recommended benefiting from e-learning programs in all educational processes and incorporating them into educational programs because of their positive impact on learning outcomes.
