Abstract:
Over-population is an extremely serious problem which faces Egypt and other developing countries . There fore more attention should be directed to the increase of agriculture production especially food which is attaianed by land reclamation , among other measurments.In this respect, land in the East-West side of Suez Canal between Ismailiya and Suez governorates provide promising area for agricultura reclamation and expansion. from geological view point the area is occupied by sediments most probable to the past pluvial periods whose properties are reflected on its geomorphological aspects and nature of soils.The current investigation aims at studying the morphological, Physical,chemical and mineralogical characteristics of soils located at the East - west side of Suez Canal together with an evaluation of the aspects of soil genesis in such area.
