Abstract:
Lupins Lupin ( Lupinus Termis,L. ) is one of the oldest crops in the world, it was known to the Egyptian Pharous science the first dynasties, as early as 200 B. C. The seeds after boiling and prolonged steeping to rid them of their bitter and poisonous alkaloids were used as stock feedand human consumption . The crop is an important source of ditary protein . The quality of the protein in lupin seed is similar to that of soyabean ( Dabbas. 1973 ) . The economic value of lupin depends mainly upon the content of lupin alkaloids ( lupinine ) that, are recently considered to have cardiae action, hypoglycaemic plants which nee more researches dealing with agriculture aspects and its effect on the alkaloidal content ( Lupinine ). Therfore The Presnt work was conducted to study the effect of different levels of nitrogen and phoaphorus fertilizers combined with various concentrations of kinetin or tryptophan aiming the inducement of highest production of alkaloidal yield of lupinus termis, L.
