Effect Of Some Cultural Practices On Sugarbeet

The aim of this investigation was to study the effect of sources and split application of nitrogen as will as harvesting date and storage treatments on yield and quality of sugarbeets.sugarbeet growers add different sources of nitrogen for sugarbeet in unsuitable time.so, sources and time of nitrogen application had become an important factor for growers to obtain maximum yield and improve quality. however, the optimum date of harvesting beets, plays an important role in sugarbeet production. some farmers harvest their sugarbeet fields and leave the roots for several days before or during delivery due to lack of transportation system to the factory resulting in deterioration of root yield and quality of sugarbeets.
