Abstract:
The problem of straw and other fibrcus by-products to animals can be summarized as follows, low digestibility, low protein content, high crude fiber content, low mineral content, and poor feed intake. Thus the way to improve digestibility and nutritive value by physical and chemical methods. Eguipment and supplies therfore. the present study was carried out to explore the possibility improving the utilization of low quality roughages such as corn stalks corn cobs and cotton stalks using sheep, through mechanical treatments (chopping) chemical treatents (ammoniation) and supplemcutation with mineral mixtnres which can be implemented by both . the small and large farmers.
