Evaluation of antibiofilm and cytotoxicity effect of Rumex vesicarius methanol extract

Abstract:
This study evaluated the antibacterial, antibiofilm, and cytotoxic effects of methanolic extract from Rumex vesicarius leaves. The extract showed broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus, Proteus, Klebsiella, and Pseudomonas species and significantly reduced biofilm formation. The extract exhibited low cytotoxicity, suggesting that Rumex vesicarius may be a promising antibiofilm agent for infections associated with indwelling medical devices.
