A comparative Study of Health-Promoting Schools in the People's Republic of China and Kingdom of Thailand and the Possibility of Benefiting from it in Egypt Abstract The current research aims to benefit from the experiences of the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand in applying health-promoting schools in Egypt. To achieve this goal, the research employed George Bereday’s approach to comparative studies, which includes four steps: Description, Interpretation, Juxtaposition, and Comparison. The study consisted of several sections, including the theoretical framework of health-promoting schools in the contemporary world as presented in Contemporary educational literature. It also examined the reality of Egyptian efforts to support school health in light of the cultural forces and factors influencing it. then explored the state of health-promoting schools in both the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand, considering the cultural forces and factors affecting them, the analysis then focused on the comparative step to highlight and interpret similarities and differences between the two countries, using relevant social science concepts to validate the core hypothesis. The final section presented key proposed measures to support the implementation of health-promoting schools in Egypt, drawing on the experiences of People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand and adapting them to the cultural context of Egyptian society, the study concluded with several findings, including the diversity of achievements by both People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand in supporting school health and implementing health-promoting schools. These efforts were based on certain standards aligned with the World Health Organization’s standards, which emphasize the necessary policies for implementing health-promoting schools, the physical environment of such schools, the social and psychological environment, school-community partnerships, and health services in schools.
