Abstract:
Clothes are an additional skin that helps the real skin of a person to perform its vital functions. There are many places in the human body that are prone to skin infections as a result of friction. The presence of moisture and the lack of sufficient ventilation leads to bacterial activity, which leads to skin problems. Therefore, the two researchers made a set of proposed clothing designs for women with full breasts (ten designs) to solve the problem of skin infections that occur to women as a result of bras rubbing against women’s bodies, so that these designs are made of single jersey cotton fabric treated with a natural material nettle extract in two concentrations (5, 10%) and two roasting temperatures (110°C and 130°C) for two minutes were used to inhibit bacterial growth in these areas. The research followed the descriptive analytical method and the experimental method, and two questionnaires were made for each of (specialists in the field of clothing and textiles, and women with full breasts) to judge the designs. The effect of the treatment substance on each of the air permeability, absorption time, and the diameter of the area of bacterial growth inhibition was measured after treatment, and the results were statistically analyzed, and the results found that there were statistically significant differences between the ten designs according to the opinions of specialists at the level of significance 0.01, 0.05, While there are no differences between the sixth and eighth design, and statistically significant differences were found between the ten designs according to the opinions of consumers at the significance level of 0.01, 0.05. The results also showed that the concentration of nettle, as well as the roasting temperature had a significant effect on each of the air permeability test, absorption time, and the growth inhibition zone diameter for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus epidermidis.
