the present work was planned with the aim of evaluating essential and fixed oils of four egyptian spices tacking into consideration the effect of the isolation methods which in such a manner affected their chemical constituents. besides, to study the antimicrob-ial effects, resulting in adopted method of isolation that produced more effective fragrance raw materials could be demonstrated to have antimicrobial activity similar to well known bacteriostatic and fungistatic agents.
