Effect Of Some Cultural Treatments On Growth and Yield of Broad Bean

Faba bean (Vicia Faba L.) is one of the most important field crops in Egypt. Dry seeds are an important source of plant protein for food and feed. Faba bean may be also harvested in an immature condition to be cooked as green beans. Cultivated area in Egypt averaged in 1967,266,306 faddan for dry seeds produced 2,086,291 ardab with an average 7.29 ardab per faddan. In addition green beans was cultivated in 37323 faddan, and it has thus become an important vegetable crop in Egypt. No doubt that plant density of faba bean is an important factor wich depends on stand establishment . Also, planting method and weed control method playes amajor role in yield improvement of fababean.The present Investigation Aimed to study the effect of planting methods, plant density and weed control methods and their interactions on growth, yield and quality of faba bean.
